He was born in 1954, and is an authority in the field of traditional style of Ayurvedic treatment. His 35 years of dedicated service, expertise and proven track record of classical style of treatment has immensely benefitted several people all over India and abroad.
He learnt the gurukula method of treatment from none other than the great Ashtavaidyan Vaidyamadham Cheriya Narayanan Namboothiri. After several years of service in Vaidyamadham, he served Vaidyarathnam Ayurveda Hospital for more than 22 years. He is presently the Principal of PNNM Ayurveda College for the last 5 years.

Late Ashtavaidyan Vaidyamadham Valiya Narayanan Namboothiri (1912-1988)
The grandfather of the senior consultant physicians was a legendary figure in his life time. He was sometimes referred to as the most efficient Ayurvedic physician born so far. Unlike his father, he travelled extensively through the length and breadth of the country to treat patients of chronic and complicated diseases, to deliver lectures on Ayurveda and to partake in discussions and seminars pertaining to the propagation of various treatment modalities cited in the Ayurveda texts. Due to his extensive knowledge on various subjects like Sanskrit, Vedas, Mythology, ancient Indian Culture and Classical arts etc., he was considered as a living encyclopedia. Being a versatile genius, he commanded high respect from every walk of life.
Late Ashtavaidyan Vaidyamadham Brahmadathan Namboothiri(Retd Director Ayurveda, Govt.of Kerala)
The second son of Ayurveda legend and the father of the senior consultant physicians, he was a prominent figure in the field of Ayurveda education, research and treatments. He joined the Government of Kerala, Ayurveda Service and Retired as Director of Ayurveda, Government of Kerala.
Dr. S Devarajan (MD Ayurveda)
Hailing from a traditional Ayurveda King Physician’s family, the “Vettoor Kalarickal” at Kuttanad, Alleppey, he got his primary Ayurveda training from his famous father Vaidyan V.K.Sankara Naryanan Kunju. After graduating with Ayurveda Medicine from Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College, he worked in the same college and hospital for 25 years before retiring in 2016. He is an authority in traditional style of Ayurveda and has treated several people in India and abroad and has an experience of 35 years in the field of Ayurveda.
